THIS MATERIAL IS A PHOTO REPRINT, NOT REAL. The adhesive is a fake 3M that is slightly opaque as well, NOT TRANSPARENT. I guess it's just totally true that you cannot get good tortoise style pickguard material from anyone anymore if you want to make good custom guard. Even the stuff Stew Mac sells for $50 is kind of crap compared with material you could get 20 years ago. Only buy this if you do not care about how great it looks from less than 3 feet away.
The pick guard made a nice solution for some paint problems caused by removal of a cracked bridge by covering them up.
Very happy with the product and quick shipping. I just wish the website had pictures of each pattern in the thumb nail to ensure the desired pattern was selected
Just got the Black Pearl pick guard material for an old Sears parlor guitar. I am pleased by both the fast delivery time and the fact that it’s a 3M product. It really will be perfect for the application. Thanks………JC
